Hunting Grounds with Special Purpose (LPN) not only focus on the sustainable management of game and their habitats but also actively participate in efforts to preserve large carnivore populations in Slovenia. Our main activities include preparing strategic documents, developing expert foundations for population management interventions, assessing damages caused by protected animal species, and managing public relations.

In addition to activities related to large carnivores, LPN also conduct monitoring of various game species and certain rare, endangered, and protected animal species. The results of these monitoring efforts contribute to more effective sustainable game management.

LPN collaborate with various research institutions, recognizing that promoting the development of new knowledge about game and other wildlife species enhances their management. Given the rapid pace of civilization’s development, this is essential for preserving natural habitats and biodiversity. Research projects conducted within LPN primarily focus on large carnivores, ungulates, and small game species.

Furthermore, LPN encourage the transfer of knowledge about game and other wildlife species. This is achieved through public awareness initiatives, lectures held across Slovenia and abroad, and visits from kindergartens, schools, and even international universities to LPN areas.
