In a separate section of the bulletin Lovec also special purpose state hunting grounds managed by Slovenia Forest Service were presented.

In a separate section of the Lovec bulletin, entitled Lovski oprtnik, also special purpose state hunting grounds (LPN) managed by Slovenia Forest Service were presented. In the September bulletin the following hunting grounds were presented: LPN Kompas Peskovci and LPN Jelen. The LPN Kompas Peskovci highlighted the “rut” behaviour of the East European red deer, while LPN Jelen pointed out the “rut” behaviour of red deers in the bear area. In the October newsletter LPN Fazan Beltinci and LPN in the Kočevje region were presented. LPN Fazan Beltinci highlighted falconry, i.e. the hunting with falcons, which is organized annually on the first Saturday in November and thus preserves the cultural heritage protected by UNESCO. LPN in the Kočevje region presented the reconstruction and hunting in both game reserves, the largest in this part of Europe. In a special section of the November issue, two hunting areas were presented again, LPN Pohorje and LPN Prodi Razor. LPN Prodi Razor highlighted authentic hunting experience by hunting chamois above the treeline, while LPN Pohorje presented the hunting of chamois below the treeline.

The special purpose state hunting grounds managed by Slovenia Forest Service, have in addition to its geographical, natural features in presentations also highlighted the hunting methods and game species that are interesting to hunters. Especially since the implementation of the special purpose requires funding, which needs to be obtained by the hunting grounds on the market, via the implementation of hunting, organization of informational and educational events, participation in research projects and the implementation of other activities.

In the following, in the section Slovenian Forest Service, The Special Purpose State Hunting Grounds of the Lovec bulletin, the specific purpose of the special purpose state hunting grounds will be presented, including the maintaining of vital populations of individual species, the promotion of life and ecology of carnivores in Slovenia, and other content interesting to hunters and visitors that the district hunters are performing daily in the hunting grounds.
