Dear hunting guests,
An amendment to the Wildlife and Hunting Act was adopted this year, on the basis of which four additional regulations were enacted in October 2025. The Rules on Permits for Hunting Guests (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 86/25) were also adopted. These rules regulate and introduce the issuance of permits for hunting guests and will enter into force on 1 January 2026.
The price of the permit depends on its validity period, namely:
• A weekly permit is valid for seven consecutive days and costs 20 euros.
• A monthly permit is valid for 30 consecutive days and costs 50 euros.
• An annual permit is valid until the end of the current calendar year for which it is issued and costs 150 euros.
Permits, in physical or electronic form, will be issued individually by each special-purpose hunting ground.
Before engaging in hunting activities, hunting guests must obtain and pay for a valid permit, as hunting will not be allowed without it.
We therefore kindly ask you to obtain the appropriate permit in advance at the special-purpose hunting grounds where you intend to hunt.
Funds collected from the permits will be used to improve living and feeding conditions for game and other animal species, as well as for the operation of special-purpose hunting grounds.
We wish you continued enjoyment of hunting in our special-purpose hunting grounds and thank you for your understanding.
